Bring the basics back. When thinking basic T’s, Tanks and Jeans in an abundance of colours, I always think of places like Celestial Studios, LaLa FooFoo and now Jane. Jane is of course a new store name and new store in general to many residents, but the designer behind the brand is Janie Marlowe of a much older brand now run by another person altogether.

I am so glad that Janie opened Jane, a really nice collection that is growing steadily, and the work on the clothing is wonderful, finishing items so well even when covered by prims, it is a delight to shop there, even more so when you tp in looking in hope that she might have a tshirt in a colour close to what your looking for, and you end up walking away with a pack of 31 for 50L, on all layers. AMAZING DEAL! It is actually called the Layering Tshirt, and it really is perfectly named for just that.

While taking the pics of the new Baiastice Skin Marina, I stopped in my tracks when I got to this make up, that was it, I was not going to use any other for my main pic, it had to be this one. I was already in the red top as you can see slightly, and it was totally so easy to find the tshirt as stated, one tp and back again, in all of about 40 seconds if that. It was actually the easiest thing in the whole post, as I have been having rezzing and unrezzing issues for weeks now, but finally had to change viewers to stop the insanity, it took me seriously 3 hours to take those pics.

Well worth it though , if you are a lover of red lipsticks then the Marina skin is a must try for you at Skin Fair. It has an incredible tone range, the pale ones are gorgeous, and the make ups as you can see are very deep and seductive. If you are a Baiastice fan clothing wise, then you will totally enjoy these skins as they are a perfect combo.

Speaking of perfect combo’s the Fallen Tears necklace is just stunning and coming in both gold or platinum and diamond it has a simplicity that allows it to be worn casually and an elegance that can keep it on for dressier occasions, I don’t know the reason of the name, but for me the design has such a spiritual quality to it, something like being reborn, which I guess often after a big cry is how you can feel. Whatever is going on there it is a Must Have set by MOOD.

Once upon a time – some of you know this story – there was a girl – in her mid thirties lol – who came across a blog and fell in love. That girl contacted one of the owners of said blog and sent her a big texture begging to be allowed to participate, the texture was because the owner was so slammed with notecards all day that she worried hers would get filed away as she wasn’t new and she didn’t need new people hair lol.

So the adorable and ever so famous Six Kennedy responded within moments and said YES, then said she was going to contact the other partner of said blog and that is how Sasy met Garbage, who welcomed her with open arms, and an open mind and gave her the keys to the executive blogging room and it has been an incredible ride ever since.

Garbage Prototype has been around forever and ever and ever, he is so far from random anymore, but still is random by name, store name that is. I went for a visit late last night and probably grabbed a few of everything, the prices are insane. The styles are so very much like Random of old, but brighter and better with the amount of years tucked under his belt, and I for one am in hope that he makes hair again too. The top and the jeans are both from Random, and they are great, easy to wear pieces, the pants don’t have cuffs, but that is fine, because they are finished off well and come on both layers, so if you panic, you can tuck them into boots.

Don’t forget that the Garden City Relief Event is still on, that Vanity Universe Skin fair only has a few days left, and that Pure Juice is coming…

War war is stupid

Elikatira released new hair the other day, and the style is one that works as both a professional pulled back look, as well as an adorable youthful style.I really enjoy the colours of Elikatira’s range, there is something sun touched about this one, even though a brown it has the makings of a blonde.

I was having an 80′s flashback with the look today, tulle and military looks, what more can one fashionista over 30 ask for.The skirt is tres fab because of its solid  sculpted structure underneath, mixed with the whirly flexi tulle above. The jacket made me giggle, because I imagined what I would get medals for, I have in the past seen such things with their own giggle worthy info, but these are left sleek and shiny and up to your own imagination. I know Whimsy deserves a medal for trying to save all the Paper Couture shoes while they burned Tableau to the ground earlier this week, that was a hoot…you can see some pics of that on my flickr.

This is definitely a fun and frivolous outfit, and I am looking forward to more fun from LeLutka in the future, there is a definite slant towards mixed aesthetics coming from over there of late, yay for 2011.

Ok so now that I got my rant on earlier, now is the time for some pretty pretties. First off some beautiful new skin from Tuli, the Emma skin is a lovely fresh faced beauty, and now with the new tones and omg lush eyebrows you can play all day with the variet of make up choices. Now the eye shadows come on the base skins themselves and the lipsticks are separate, so with the ability to wear that many lippies with one shadow is awesome. I really like the new tones, but I am so loving the copper eyebrows as shown in the main skins pics.

All the better to show off the new hair from Exile, va va voooooom they get sexier each and every release. The second blonde style Stephy is actually a donation style for the fundraiser that Voshie Paine is running, so be sure to go and grab it to help out the little girl Kajsa and her family.

The other day Mel and I were out and about and he saw some leggings on a girl, and said wow that took some work from the designer, and I told him that I had them, and yes, lots of work to create such a complex design so well. Osakki since they reopened has had not only these leggings but many more, and some fantastic outfits that are very out there fashion wise, in the good look at me way.

In the top pic I am wearing some fun Pididdle items, with the fab patent belt from Maiiki, the yellow in the high waist skirt is just wonderful and the sweater is a cropped length so it is great having both items on all layers, giving the ability to make sure it all works. The Pea Coat trench I am wearing is system skirt love from Eclectic Apparel.

Eclectic has used the template superbly to create this lovely design piece. that can be worn as a dress on its own, or over pants or another skirt due to the use of the system skirt. This is the type of outfit that just screams late night rendesvous with dark and handsome men or women, whatever way you roll.

The boots I am wearing are the most recent release from SLInk, they are a great hiker style boot, and I just love their ruggedness that makes them totally wearable in the opposite more clean and sleek fashion conscious way. Or you can just go hiking, but I like my way better lol. There is an option to wear with or without the sock at the top, which is nice and easy to do with the hud, the leather is soft and comfy, and I am so looking forwards to more in the SLink line I hear rumors of other accessories :P .

The long anticipated opening of MonTissu is just over the horizon, it will be open this Saturday officially, but if you have been chomping at the bit to see the new location for Lamb, Tres Blah, Mon Tissu and Turnip then Lula is where you want to go. Turnip Sorbet has been working on the build for the past few months, and it has been well worth the wait. The style of stores are just charming I wish there were more of them to explore, the landscaping is some of the best I have ever seen, this is not just a commercial sim, this is a destination.

Earlier today a few dozen fans got the chance to have morning tea with the owners of Mon Tissu and special guests Lamb and Turnip. Lamb has already opened her store with the new rlelease of her hair Wild Nothing, which I am wearing in the post. Tres Blah also released a new skin, but I am wearing an older one from the blur event of a few months back. I am also wearing some of the tops that are due for release, the So Boho top I have been coveting for weeks now, the style is superb, old vintage handcrafts made into something so wearable and chic, the Joli beaded tunic is a divine cleavage enhancement without being too out there. Both tops are created by the two owners of Mon Tissu and truly show their talents.There is a lengthener skirt base to the So Boho top, but I loved the finish it had without as well.

I was watching an old tv show earlier, and the main girl was wearing some great gaucho pants. I have a few pairs in SL but was thinking that some of my favourite pants might be convertible, and sure enough with mod and copy as an option I was able to shorten and edit the prims, and voila, my Fri.day trousers are now gauchos…I even flared out the pants layer, so they weren’t a tight fit, yay for mod clothing.

Whmsy and I were fortunate to be invited to the preview of Osakki’s new mainstore opening the other night. Not a huge collection but a great start, and such a great array of mix and matchables. The leggings I have on were part of that release, and if you are a leggings/tights fan, then you best get on over there. The leggings and most of the clothing is so 80′s reminiscent for me, so I had to go there, with my leg warmers and armwarmers I could totally audition for my leading role dance number, after I get the man and of course have fabulous hair all the way through.

In both pics the shoes are new, the first set being the latest slouch boots from Gos, so many options, with metals changing and the leather option of the boot, or the straps and wood/sole base, its all interchangable. These worked out really well with my pants, and with the tops of them being not so tight, they are great for tucked in pants for winter weeks to come. The flats are adorable and from SLink, these are June shoes and are available at the Albero event that starts today…so many things start today, it is funny how often stuff starts same time as other stuff, I wish the lindens would make some sort of google calender and we would all put in dates and lock them in, would be so much easier on everyone. It is one of those collective conscience things I guess, it freaks me out how often we talk about something amongst a small group and then others end up doing same…Whimsy thinks we are bugged lol.

Anyway the event is a gifting one, were whatever you buy is transfer so you can do some incredible Christmas shopping in advance, and everything is supposed to be priced under a USD Linden equivelant, which is nice for the budgeters. So deprim and have a wander over there too, if you haven’t seen the Anya Ohmai pig snowglobes you haven’t lived and they are at the festival too and OMG so cute

Bring on the Mod Squad, seriously that is how I felt as soon as I layed eyes on this beauty.

The latest Belle dress from Elate is just marvelous darlings, and what better way to show off your sexy legs, than with knee high boots, an expanse of skin and this beautiful retro fashion. The fun thing about the dress is it’s ability to look both casual and fun, or sleek and dressy, it will all depend on the accessories, boots/shoes and how you flick your hair.

Speaking of flicks – see how I lead you right there – the new styles from Exile are scrumptious. The Nyx hair is amazing and Lake I really would love to have in a hat hair combo. Kavar as I have said before, really levels up each and every time he releases.

I could see wearing any of the colours of this dress, to christmas parties and the festive activites bound to occur over the coming weeks, the colours and style are perfect for it.

Riddle me this

I once was watching Donahue – no I am not old old, but I used to love his show when I was a kid – and I remember and episode about sexy people. The guest, who I do not at this time remember at all, claimed that the sexiest people had a gap between their two front teeth. This of course caused Donahue to grin big, of course flashing his own gapped tooth smile.

So it was with great joy that  once I found out about the Slink teeth being all seperate teeth, that I was able to do the same gap. I have since seen a few variations along the same lines, and my own pal Newdoll went in that direction too, she is so hot. I also was lucky to see a SLink customer with an overabundance of teeth modding going on, to look just a little more ‘out there’.

I love that so many can take something so simple, and give it their own individual charm. Taking it perhaps even further than the creator intended. The possibilities are endless as well, with them being copy, you could make your very own toothless gummy grin, or add a little bling or perhaps metal to the mix. I am surprised that SLink didn’t hud up for this release, as the vamps must be pining for some pointed tooth love.

The dresses I am wearing today are new items from Riddle. I haven’t seen a Riddle release for some time now, she tends to get busy through the year I think, because the last big release I can think of was last year around this same time. But either way, this wintery goodness is just yum. I really like the sculpted volume of the babydoll style, but the added pleated skirt underneath adds a little swayward charm.

The bow around the empire line reminded me of my hairbow I modified from an old 69 Hairstyle, this bow has been around and worn many many times, but any hairbow would look as good. I am being naughty and you can see just a smidge of bra strap in the pics, it is because the cutieh undies are so cute from Luck Inc, I just keep putting them on and not taking them off, Which is almost true, as with the viewer I can just keep adding lol.

The Moxie shoes by Maitreya Gold I showed yesterday in the patents, today I am showing in the basic leathers, with the same incredible sock options. Lucky me there were enough colours to choose from to go with whatever dress colour choice I made, and there are many more colours available than just these, so if these ones don’t grab you, maybe the rest will.

All layered above the beautiful Natasha Skin by LeLutka, which I am enamored with. A quick mention of bag love, the one I am carrying is very naughty and will not be out yet…but a little birdy told me that Royal Blue is going to be in the second portion of the with love hunt that starts soon, and some GORGEOUS clutch bags will be their hunt item, and so cute, so don’t miss out.

Roughly 15 mins ago the Mila skin by LeLutka was released to the public. The skin is a new range for LeLutka and a new way of packaging as well. The skin is now sold with one hair option, cleavage enhancer. The other hair colour bases, brows and teeth attachment options are add ons you can buy seperately. The idea is that you don’t pay for what you don’t need I guess.

Loving the red hair options, I had to go with that, I love how the red base and brows look, and you can get the combo as an all in one to save on layers tatoo wise. Of coure I am having to use the regular 2.3 viewer to get the full advantages of multiple layers, but if you do use 3rd party viewers that do have tattoo and alpha layers, you can still use at lease one of the options available…just be sure to try on demos and see for yourself what you will need. Also the teeth option is a new to me system, by using the Alpha layer to cut away part of the lips of the skin and allow for the teeth attachment to be shown, however I was able to still see teeth from the actual skin without the attachment, so you have it both ways, but remember, unless you have multiple layers of alpha to use, you wont be able to use this and wear v2 style shoes or other attachments at the same time, so again, demo demo demo.

There are six new tones in the skin line, and they are unique to the add ons, as there is skin tone mixed in so that the effect is flawless. 7 make ups as well as a base which is make up free, and all of them are just lovely…I especially love the eye make ups on these ones.I am showing a lot of the body with the last release of lingerie from Insolence, very sheer and rather exposing this line is, so until now I did not have the moxy to wear it, but with a discreet arm lift and denial about my bottom -  the way low rise jeans are these days in SL I didn’t think I was showing more than has been seen uncovered lol – there it is, I especially love the options of panties in this set, and the amount of layers options is insane.

I am wearing the Milla hair from Maitreya for the skin pics of the Mila skin, because the reds are so close, and it shows off the hairline, The Lelutka team did say there will be their own hair base hairstyles in the future, so yay on that.

The NEW Hair I am wearing is from Elikatira, the Blind style comes with two bangs options, and the overall style of it is just GORGEOUS, the flicked back and clipped side, with the beautiful loose braid, so perfect and so the level of divine we are used to from Elika.

I am wearing it with the new anchored frocks – I so love that they called them frocks – from Whippet & Buck, you had me at Ahoy with these. Not only are they nautical lovers fashion fun, but the babydoll can turn into a lovely vintage look cossie with one toss of the skirt and into the ocean you can dive, so perfect for those sailing trips with your partner enjoying the ebb and flow of the ocean.

We are nearly halfway through Novemeber already, can you believe it? This year has flown, and yes we say that kind of thing every year, but this one just got crazy manic. With the amount of events, and ‘things’ on each and every week, there just didn’t seem to be a down time at all, you know those weeks that go on endlessly and we all anticipate the next big thing…I miss those boring weeks lol.

A mix of design houses today, in the form of LG Concept and Nyte n day. The jeans I have on both me’s are from LG Concept Femme, and they are really lovely, I especially like the patch work ones, I do admit to it taking a few hours for me to realise that the patches are in fact very religious in nature. But they say you wear your heart on your sleeve, so why not your religion on your pants . The Puiqe set from Nyte n Day is so darling, that it can be worn as a beautiful off the shoulder top, or as the all in one with so sexy flippy skirt. Another great recent item from Nyte n Day is the Capu Hoodie, this hoodie is so soft looking I could spend all day in it for reals. An added bonus is the length of the sleeves.

You may notice I am wearing the new Slink Jolie Hands, yes amazing sculpted hands. These end up at the mid forearm, and while the hud is so easy to use, and you do also have the option of jewelry to hid the seam, sleeves of this length with prims makes it perfect. Not only do you get wonderful nail polish options, but it also now comes with a nailpolish hud for tinting which means colours are endless. Other adorable accessories are the great glasses I am wearing from DECO, both the buddy and cats meow are fun to wear and come in a great variety of colours. It is wonderful having such a good range of real sculpted glasses nowadays.

The new boots I have on are the latest from Courtisane, and come in so many lovely colours, these are some of my favourites available and as usual Enktan of Enkythings built these beautifully. A great way to show off – finally – the Eva skins from Glam Affair is the new Vishe lingerie from Nyte n Day. Tanks long and short, as well as bra options are all great. The Eva skin has a wonderfully youthful look, with incredibly gorgeous pouty lips and beautiful make ups. All topped off with wonderful styles from Magika, that woman is a hair making machine, I cannot wait for more more more.

Happy Anniversary Beulah

First off seeing as I am so slack and did not participate in the actual request…I wanted to aknowledge that it is the one year anniversary of Beulah Mills blog One thing at a time. A year is a huge achievement for any and all bloggers, it is that milestone that carries you into the nostalgic transition phase. You will question the way you blog, how you represent your blog, and what it is that you want to say or do with your blog. Beulah has always represented herself as one classy lady, the Manager of Ivalde and a very professional person. I have had dealings with her over the years both work related, blog related and more recently friend related…though we don’t talk that often, she is always so kind, and really lovely to know, and an incredible right arm for her Boss, with whom she is loyal like crazy for. Happy Anniversary Beulah and I hope that you see many more.

A stunning recent release of hair from Exile, these styles made me happy happy joy joy. Especially Crissy which is the updo that has two versions, one with bangs and this one without, I think both styles are fun, but I do adore the without more. Jennifer is the hat hair and we all know I love my hat/hair, this one is super fun, the style of hat is creative, and straw with different colour options is all win. The 3rd style Mella is a very flouncy curls style, not exactly beachwear style, but in this case, I only got into the water as high as you can see on the dress.

How fun is that, I have an old tshirt from a freebie box back in 06′ that is wet look, and I cannot throw it away lol, but the tank dress from deetalez may make that possible to do. You need something to cover up the mini micro kini, so little and leaves nada to the imagination. I am wearing the jolie pied feet from SLink, they recently sent out an update on these, so if you didn’t get yours, maybe check your inventory or ask the creator, these are the mid ones, that are partially on point, not sure if it was all of them.

The skin I am wearing is from Amacci, the skin is a recent release and as usual comes with a huge array of options. Cleavage, hairbases, and a hair bun for wearing the base with, so pretty too. I am only showing a few of the make ups available, there are 16 in all, so make sure you check out all the demos.

I had an awesome night tonight, first off tping around different places with Newdoll and Whimsy. It was like old times, we were just missing Ashia and Justice, hopefully next time. We ran by the Artilleri SALE, making lots of OH NO SHE ISN’T sounds to eachother in skype, about items that are going to be discontinued. The upside is that it means more room for newness, and as we had most of everything, we are excited.

If you have some alts in need of a make over, now is the time though, 60L skins and all of the clothing is around that price too, male stuff also. I was excited about what I was going to post today, due to the new poses out by aDORKable, not only did they nail the sorts of sets that always are a much needed style, but they are including mirrors of every pose from now on, and even going back to change older ones. The fun that can be had with mirror poses is awesome, and even though they have been around before in other stores, they are the first to my knowledge to include them at no extra charge, so thats more bang for your buck WOOHOO.

Going all Brownzilla in the first pic, the oversized tote is fantastic and available from Addict @ Call for Couture – not many days left of that event, so hurry up. The chained necklace is also from there, and wow its a really beautiful one. hard to do lots of chain strands without them getting a tad messy and hard to edit, but this one fit straight away. Wearing another of the Swift hairstyles from LeLutka, this one is hat hair love, and comes texture change, so you can mix and match for days lol. The clothing is all deetalez, and I especially love the fabrics used to make each piece, lovely texture work, and really warm fabrics.

The next look gave me a chance to properly show off the Calypso slips from Eclectic Apparel. When I finally saw the slips come about, I knew exactly what style top I wanted to wear under, and even though I had older ones, this one I got yesterday is perfect. Adding the Lucid belt from Fri.day you would have your work cut out for you trying to get me out of this look. traveling up to the newish hair from Magika, Josie, and yes I sang that song all day of the release, I had actually read a comic of Archie and Josie and the Pussycats doing a battle of the bands a few days prior, so that didn’t help lol. I was loving the black and white, but a splash of red in the streaks, lips and bases of the fabulous ankle boots from G’field, these are also a release at Call for Couture and so lovely.

We ended off the night at the Albero Gatcha Festival and I probably could have spent every cent I had at the Theosophy one, because those bags are AWESOME. Make sure you get some, and if you get two Alice ones Newdolly wants one desperately.
